Connect
Cline
Cline is an open-source coding agent for VS Code, JetBrains and the terminal. It uses Laterbase as a remote MCP server, and the skills show up as slash commands like /mcp:laterbase:quick.
Connect
- Sign in, open Connections on the dashboard and create an API key. It's shown once, so copy it into the snippet straight away. One key per machine keeps things tidy.
- In Cline, open MCP Servers, then Configure, then Configure MCP Servers. That opens
cline_mcp_settings.json; add the server tomcpServers.
Keep "type": "streamableHttp": without it, Cline uses an older transport the server doesn't speak.
In more than one workspace? Add one server per workspace, each with its own key and a name like laterbase-acme, so agents can work in both at once. See Workspaces and connections.
Check it works
The MCP Servers panel lists laterbase as connected, with its tools.
Disconnect
Delete the server in the MCP Servers panel, or remove its entry from cline_mcp_settings.json. To cut it off for good, revoke the key on Connections. Agents using it stop working on their next call.
