Connect

JetBrains

JetBrains IDEs reach Laterbase through AI Assistant, the chat built into IntelliJ IDEA, PyCharm and the rest, or Junie, JetBrains' coding agent.

Tools

Connect

  1. Sign in, open Connections on the dashboard and create an API key. It's shown once, so copy it into the snippet straight away. One key per machine keeps things tidy.
  2. Open Settings, then Tools, AI Assistant, Model Context Protocol (MCP), and click Add.
  3. Pick HTTP and paste the server in place of the example.
JSON
{
  "mcpServers": {
    "laterbase": {
      "type": "http",
      "url": "https://laterbase.dev/mcp",
      "headers": { "Authorization": "Bearer lb_live_your_key" }
    }
  }
}

In more than one workspace? Add one server per workspace, each with its own key and a name like laterbase-acme, so agents can work in both at once. See Workspaces and connections.

Check it works

The MCP settings page lists laterbase as connected.

Disconnect

Remove the server from the MCP settings page. To cut it off for good, revoke the key on Connections. Agents using it stop working on their next call.

Junie

Junie, in the IDE and the CLI, reads its servers from its own file.

  1. Sign in, open Connections on the dashboard and create an API key. It's shown once, so copy it into the snippet straight away. One key per machine keeps things tidy.
  2. Add the server to ~/.junie/mcp/mcp.json, merging it into mcpServers if the file already has other servers.
JSON
// ~/.junie/mcp/mcp.json
{
  "mcpServers": {
    "laterbase": {
      "url": "https://laterbase.dev/mcp",
      "headers": { "Authorization": "Bearer lb_live_your_key" }
    }
  }
}

In more than one workspace? Add one server per workspace, each with its own key and a name like laterbase-acme, so agents can work in both at once. See Workspaces and connections.

/mcp in Junie lists laterbase as active.

Delete the laterbase entry from mcp.json. To cut it off for good, revoke the key on Connections. Agents using it stop working on their next call.
