Claude Plugin

Claude Code plugin

The plugin is the easiest way to use Laterbase in Claude Code. One install brings the MCP server, signed in with your account, and 10 skills: slash commands that turn the tools into everyday workflows like picking a quick win or handing off a pin.

Install

Run this in your terminal. It adds the Laterbase marketplace and installs the plugin for every project.

Shell
claude plugin marketplace add --scope user \
  https://laterbase.dev/claude-code/marketplace.json
claude plugin install --scope user laterbase@laterbase

Then, in Claude Code, open /plugin, pick the Laterbase server and press Enter to sign in. The full steps, and how to connect without the plugin, are on Connect Claude Code.

What it adds

  • The MCP server, listed in /mcp as plugin:laterbase:laterbase. It signs in with OAuth, so there's no key to manage, and it gives the agent every Laterbase tool. Your agent can pin, search and work on pins whether or not you use a skill.
  • Skills, which Claude Code runs when you type their name (/laterbase:quick) or when what you ask matches what a skill is for. Each one is a short recipe of tool calls, written for the agent.
  • A hook that reminds the agent when to pin with every prompt, so the habit holds through long sessions.

Things to try

All skills

These pages are built from the same files the plugin installs, so the steps are exactly what your agent follows.

Updates and removal

To get the latest skills, refresh the marketplace and update the plugin:

Shell
claude plugin marketplace update laterbase
claude plugin update laterbase@laterbase

Then run /reload-plugins in any open session (new sessions load it on their own). Claude Code doesn't auto-update plugins from marketplaces outside Anthropic's, so to stay current without running these, open /plugin, go to Marketplaces, pick laterbase and choose Enable auto-update. To remove the plugin and its marketplace:

Shell
claude plugin uninstall --scope user laterbase@laterbase
claude plugin marketplace remove laterbase

Plugins run in Claude Code on your machine: the terminal, IDE extensions and the desktop app's Code tab. Claude Code sessions in the cloud and Claude.ai chats use the Claude.ai connector instead, which has the same tools but no skills.
